Two screws hold the 12 decks into place. When the screws are loosened, you can remove the decks. Each deck has the Deck Plan of that deck printed on in full color! A chart is included with the descriptions of 240 points numbered on the model. The key chart states that two ordinary long pins make effective masts if pushed into the decks at the points marked.
