POST CARDS: All post cards are standard sizes of about 3½x5½" to 4x6". Unless otherwise noted, the post card is IN COLOR and UNUSED. The term "pc" in the description indicates the item is a Post Card. We have also used the following terms to help describe:
PHOTOS: Many of the photos came from the files of the steamship companies themselves. Many of the photos also came from newspapers and news services and have the news byline in "quotes". Unless otherwise noted, all of the photos are original in the sense that they were issued when the ship sailed or the news event took place. We have not reproduced any of the photographs. All photos are black & white unless otherwise noted. All are in Very Good Condition or better unless otherwise noted.
ABOUT DESCRIPTIONS: It is very difficult to describe post cards or photos. We have used the terms "port", "bow", "starboard", "stern" and "aerial" to aid in the descriptions. If you see "port bow view", it means the view was taken from the port bow, it is not just a picture of the port bow. The actual view would be the port side of the ship, looking back from the bow.
